MNFN’s Horses Available for Adoption

Adoptable Horses

Our adoption process is comprehensive and designed to assure the best possible match between horses and adopters. Horsemanship skills, level of training, inherent personality, and the ability to properly care for a horse are all considered.

To adopt a MFMN horse, you need to complete and submit the adoption application and go through the approval process. We’ll schedule a time when you can come meet the horse, and observe your interactions with the horse, including riding if the horse is trained to do so. We want to make sure that you are a good fit for the horse, and that the horse is comfortable with you as well.

Many more adoptable horses available! (Photos coming soon)

GHOST

Meet Gorgeous Ghost!

Ghost is a Super Sweet, 21-Year-Old Paint Mare (based on her teeth) who had been Starved and very literally Abandoned. At the time of her arrival her body condition score was very low, she was quite depressed, and she had a severely injured right eye. Obviously, her Trust Factor in Humans was also quite low…. how could it Not Be?

With Ample Kindness, Great Nutrition (Nutrena Feed!), Veterinary Care (including the surgical removal of her Right Eye), Regular Maintenance and the Single-Minded Love & Devotion of one Farm Fam (Zoe Searl), Ghost began to thrive. One day Zoe and Christina decided to see just what, if anything, Ghost might know. Guess what? She knows a lot!

If you are wanting a mature, sensitive yet level-headed, GORGEOUS Best Friend for trail-rides, simple pleasures, or as a companion, and you Do Not Mind a Horse with One Blue Eye, this Magnificent Mare just might be for you.

* Ghost is a 14.3 hand, greyed-out paint. You can see her Paint Pattern in her Skin Pigment.

Our Horses

At Missouri Forget-Me-Not Horse Rescue and Sanctuary, we believe that every horse should be loved and valued. We have horses that are ridable that are available for adoption, as well as non-ridable horses that can fill the much-needed job of “companion,” acting as friends for other horses. Companion horses are available for adoption or fostering. We also have horses that are permanent residents of the Sanctuary that you can sponsor.
